Board Chair – Niibawi Ajijaak

Niibawi Ajijaak is enrolled Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa / Ojibwe and has lived in both Wisconsin and Michigan for parts of their life. They are a proud Two Spirit movement builder for social justice and deeply grateful for all the aspects of culture they have learned from elders and their community. They hope that this land will be an opportunity for spiritual gathering, healing, and resilience for our Two Spirit LGBTQ+ Anishinaabe and Indigenous people.

Secretary – Kimberlyn

Bozhoo! My name is Kimberlyn, and I am a citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and a licensed social worker (LLMSW) who strives to integrate cultural values into my practice and uplift community organizing, social justice, and advocacy, as well as community-based participatory research. In my free time, you can find me curled up with a book, watching movies and TV, or gaming.

Anangabii

Anangabii nindigoo. Anangabii Chippewa-Causley nindizhnikaaz. My name is Anangabii (uh-nung-uh-bee) and I use they/them pronouns. Baaweting nindoonjibaa miinawaa Ypsilanti nindidaa. My heart first sounded in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and I am currently located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Makwa nindoodem. I am Bear clan. Anishinaabe indaa. I am Anishinaabe and two spirit. I am a Limited License Master Social Worker and a therapist in Ann Arbor where I provide mental health services and support for individuals and couples. Fun Fact: I have a calico cat named Bawaajigan.

Aniin kinawaya! I’m Em Matson-Brady (they/them) and I am a citizen of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa (Ojibwe). I am located and spend much of my time doing Two Spirit organizing in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. One of my biggest accomplishments in organizing was helping to start the annual Minneapolis Two Spirit Powwow. I’m a professional writer and communications person, an amateur sewist and beader, and a lifelong learner and jokester.

Waabanokiizhick 

Waabanokiizhick Mandosking is beaver clan Anishinaabe from Baawating and is an enrolled member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Waabanoklizhick does twospirit community organizing. Her work focuses on the unique way in which federal Indian boarding schools, code of Indian offenses and anti polygamy laws impacted our trancestors.
Waabanokiizhick was awarded the title of Mx. AIHEC (American Indian higher education consortium) in 2025 as well as being the 2025 recipient of the Frank Hugo Anishinaabe language memorial scholarship award. Her spiritual background incorporates teachings from all three Anishinaabe traditional belief systems.
Waabanoklizhick is an indigenous archivist and has a special interest in the relationship between the Anishinaabe and the Vatican and other Christian religions.
